The city of Abha was known as the “Bride of the Mountain,” the “Lady of the Mists.” The city is located on the Hijaz Mountains and is bordered to the east and northeast by the city of Khamis Mushayt, to the northwest by Al-Namas Governorate, and to the west and southwest by Mahayil Asir Governorate.
